“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”– Winston Churchill
The Responsibility of Giving Forward
Thankfulness isn’t passive; it’s an attitude that grows deeper and more real with genuine acts of kindness and charity. John Foley created a unique Giving Forward program in an effort to express his thankfulness — for his work, for his relationships with clients, and for a life that’s been blessed. But he wanted to share that experience with his clients by supporting the causes that were closest to their hearts.
So when John delivers a presentation, 10 percent of his fee goes to charity - 5 percent to a nonprofit of the client's choice and 5 percent for distribution through the Glad To Be Here® Foundation. The foundation supports charitable works around the world. In 2009, John’s Giving Forward program donated more than $100,000 to nonprofits that are working to make the world a better place.
